This regulation applies to all products intended to be incorporated, permanently, in construction (buildings, civil engineering, etc.).
The purpose of the CPR is to ensure that all cables used in permanent installations throughout the European Union are evaluated, classified and approved under a single criterion.
The CPR provisions apply to power, telecommunications, data and control cables. The regulation contemplates six new classes, designated from A to F, where A implies the highest level of reaction, being the non-combustible product and F the lowest level of reaction, which does not exceed or the propagation of the flame.
